Church Seasons, Days & Holidays
The Church Year is not random. It is a retelling of the entire biblical story from Creation’s light to the final fulfillment of God’s kingdom, every single year, in a sacred rhythm that keeps God’s story shaping our story.
The Church Calendar serves also as a living biography of Jesus Christ, inviting us to embody his story in our daily lives. Year after year, we are reminded to whom we belong—tracing his journey from pre-existence as the divine Word to his earthly life, from his crucifixion to his resurrection and glorification. As we contextualize and carry out his teachings, ministries, and mission within our own circumstances, we actively participate in the unfolding of God's salvation, received by grace through faith.
Advent
1. Creation’s Longing
Biblical arc:
