Children’s Message on 12/21/2025

Today we’re talking about angels.
But before we talk about angels, we need to talk about a very important word:
message.
🌟 A message is something someone wants you to know, or hear, or remember.
When your grown‑up says, ‘Time to clean up!’ — that’s a message.
When your teacher says, ‘Take your seats!’ — that’s a message.
And every Sunday, when I talk with you right here, I’m sharing a message too.
Now, someone who carries a message is called a messenger.
And in the Bible, when someone carries a message from God, we have a special word for them.
That word is angel.
So the word angel really means messenger — someone who brings God’s message to God’s people.
What Do Angels Do?
In the Bible, angels do a few really important things:
They bring messages — like when Gabriel told Mary about Jesus.
They help and protect — God sends them to watch over people.
They praise God — singing and shining with joy.
And the Bible shows us different kinds of angels, each with a special job:
Messenger‑Angels — radiant and gentle, bringing God’s word.

Warrior‑Angels — strong and peaceful, guarding and defending.

Cherubim‑Guardians — awe‑filled and majestic, guarding holy places.

Seraphim — fiery with worship, praising God with holiness.

Nativity‑Angels — joyful and glowing, announcing Jesus’ birth.

What Do All Angels Have in Common?
Angels always listen to God.
They go where God sends them.
They help people know that God is close and God loves us.
And at Christmas, the angels had the biggest job of all.
They told everyone:
‘Don’t be afraid! We bring good news! Jesus is born!’
So when you see an angel on a Christmas tree, or in a book, or in a story, you can remember:
Angels want God’s love to be shared.
Angels help us see that Jesus is God’s good news.
🌟 Closing Repeat‑After‑Me Prayer
Dear God,
Thank you for your angels,
Who bring your messages,
Who help and protect,
Who praise you with joy,
And who told the world
That Jesus was born.
Help us share your love
Just like they do.
Amen.
