Ten Commandments – Nov 3 & 4

Exodus 24:12–18

Children are invited to help tell the story.

When I say, “God said, ‘I want the best for you! So that people know…’”

You say, “We are the people of God.”

1. It’s a story about how God made His people special—so the whole world would know. God chose Moses to lead them to a land where they could worship freely— Just like having chapel time anytime they want! They walked through the desert. They were tired.

God said, “I want the best for you! So that people know…”

Children respond: “We are the people of God.”

2. God called Moses to climb a big mountain. Moses went up, up, up! The people stayed below and waited.

God said, “I want the best for you! So that people know…”

Children respond: “We are the people of God.”

3. On the mountain, God spoke to Moses. He gave him two stone tablets— With ten rules for living in love.

God said, “I want the best for you! So that people know…”

Children respond: “We are the people of God.”

4. Moses came down the mountain. The people saw the tablets. They listened and learned.

God said, “I want the best for you! So that people know…”

Children respond: “We are the people of God.”

5. Moses said, “These are God’s ten rules!” We call them the Ten Commandments. They show us how to live in love— with God, and with each other.

God said, “I want the best for you! So that people know…”

Children respond: “We are the people of God.”

Thank you, God, for teaching us to live with love.

We love you. We honor you.

We are the people of God.
