Luke 15:1–10 — The Lost Sheep & Coin

Have you ever lost something special, like a toy, a coin, or your blanket? You might feel sad or worried. You look everywhere until you find it, right?

Jesus told stories like that. A shepherd had 100 sheep, but one got lost. He left the others and looked until he found it. A woman lost a coin and searched her whole house until she found it. And when they did, they were so happy. They had a party!

Jesus shared these stories to show us what God is like. God searches for us when we feel far away. God is full of joy when we’re close again. Some people didn’t understand why Jesus spent time with those who felt separated from God, but Jesus said, “These are the ones I came for. They matter. They belong.”

So remember: You are never too far for God to find you. You are always loved and wanted.

You are deeply precious to God.
It brings God great joy to see you each day.
We all feel differently when we’re apart from God, but God’s love never changes.
Nothing can stop God from seeking out every beloved life.
Through the Cross, God welcomes us back with open arms, no conditions, just love.
