🧡 Children’s Message:
Luke 17:11-19
One leper made clean by Jesus gives thanks to God
October 12, 2025

Hello, friends!
Q: When you see someone, what do you say?
Maybe “Hi!” or “Good morning!” or “How are you?”
Q: And when someone helps you or gives you something, what do you say?
Yes! “Thank you!”
We say thank you for toys, snacks, hugs, help, and love.
We say thank you to people.
We say thank you to God.
Let’s think about this:
Q: How many things do you use every day?
Your shoes, your toothbrush, your backpack, your bed…
Q: How long would it take to say thank you for all of them?
Now think about the people who help you:
Your family, your teachers, your friends, your church…
Q: How long would it take to say thank you to each one?
Jesus has a story for us today.
Ten people were very sick. Their skin was itchy and sore.
They asked Jesus to help them.
And Jesus did! He made them better.
But guess what?
Only one person came back to say, “Thank you, Jesus!”
Q: Why do you think the other nine didn’t come back?
Maybe they were busy.
Maybe they forgot.
Maybe they didn’t know how to say thank you.
But one person remembered. And Jesus was glad.
So here’s is the invitation:
In 45 days, it will be Thanksgiving.
Would you say thank you once each day?
To someone who helps you. To God who loves you.
Let’s try to say 45 "THANK-YOUs"!
And let’s remember to come back to God—just like that one person did.
🙏 Let’s Pray (repeat after me)
God is good.
So can we.
For whatever is missing,
God fills in.
May we notice.
May we come back to God.
Say "Thank you, Jesus. We love you, God."
🧡 Amen.
